In the course of our study, we paid special attention to the category of aspectuality and, first of all, tried to determine whether there is a morphological category of verb types in English and Uzbek. In the study of verb meaning, the intended goal can be achieved only by addressing not only grammatically formed categorical units, but also all linguistic means expressing aspectuality. This is why specific theories and approaches of aspectuality have emerged, based on the composition of a particular language.
