Comparative analysis of social crises, psychological torments, and aesthetic paradoxes in English and Uzbek literature

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the psychological and social aspects of the tragedy of suicide in English and Uzbek literature, based on the methodology of comparative literary studies. The primary objective of the research is to explore the manifestation of the “toxic life” type in individuals, its intrinsic connection with the concept of decadence, and the complexity of mechanisms for escaping social tragedy.

Through examples of suicide tragedies in English and Uzbek literature, the article examines the psychological depth of this motif, the uniqueness of its artistic expression in reflecting the human psyche and personal experiences, as well as its role as a means of escaping social catastrophe. The study further delves into the concept of decadence and its significance in literary-philosophical contexts, offering new scientific insights through the lens of modern literary theories.
