Abstract

This article extensively discusses the role of names in society, their social, psychological, historical and cultural aspects. Names play an important role in identifying a person, determining their national and religious affiliation. It also discusses the impact of a name on a person’s personality, social status and future life. The article also analyzes the history of names, modern trends and the impact of globalization on the development of names. The importance of the name selection process and its role in human life are discussed, and scientifically and practically based conclusions are given.
