This article examines the history of sign language interpretation development in Uzbekistan. The article analyzes the progress from the initial steps during the Soviet era to achievements in the years of independence and current challenges. It explores the major changes in the field of sign language interpretation, adopted legislation, changes in the education system, and the role of technologies. The aim is to identify the developmental path of sign language interpretation in Uzbekistan, highlight existing issues, and determine prospects for future development.
