Abstract

A lexical-semantic analysis of tourism terminology reveals that, on one hand, English tourism terminology is more developed and serves as a basis in the lexical structure. On the other hand, in recent times, there has been a tendency toward the parallel development of lexical-semantic processes in both English and Uzbek. Thus, tourism terminology is characterized by its internationally unified components, which is primarily linked to globalization processes. This, in turn, leads to the convergence of concrete terminological systems and the formation of a common terminological vocabulary for both languages.
