The development of corpus linguistics is closely related to the widespread use of language corpora in finding solutions to linguistic problems. It is known that corpus linguistics has a set of methods focused mainly on lexicography but they can be used by stylistics, syntax and sentence construction, language teaching methodology, and other branches of science. In the article, the problem of collecting and sorting lexical units in the creation of a diachronic corpus of media texts aimed at the study of language development was raised, and detailed solutions have been proposed.
