This study examines the linguistic features of online communication platforms and their ramifications for contemporary linguistics. The swift advancement of digital technology has converted online communication into a crucial domain of linguistic research. Legal documents, SMS exchanges, and emails are analysed for their conciseness and uniformity, which complicates the determination of authorship and contextual interpretations. Moreover, polycode texts, distinguished by their semantic and pragmatic intricacies, provide analytical hurdles in internet-based communication.
The study emphasises the influence of online communication on social relationships and information security. In Uzbekistan, the protection of personal data and the reduction of negative impacts from online communication on public awareness are prioritised in official policy. The article explores the hybrid characteristics of online language, whereby verbal and nonverbal components, including emojis, stickers, and animations, are crucial in expressing emotional and contextual significances. The inquiry examines the distinctive characteristics of digital texts, such as their multimodality, interactivity, and inclination towards clip thinking, which prioritises fragmentary and visual information processing.
