This article is dedicated to the linguistic and cultural significance of the use of euphemisms in the German and Uzbek languages. In modern linguistics, the linguistic and cultural aspects of language elements are being extensively studied. Particularly, intercultural research holds significant importance in the process of comparing the elements of two languages. Therefore, in this article, we have sought to highlight the use of euphemisms in German and Uzbek languages during speech, considering the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of these nations, and to explore their role in communication. The German and Uzbek peoples differ not only geographically but also in historical and cultural aspects. However, in the use of euphemisms, the two nations generally adopt similar approaches. The main objective of the article is to uncover the euphemisms used by Germans and Uzbeks in communication and their cultural characteristics. While in social contexts, the two nations might resort to euphemisms in different situations, their use of euphemisms in political matters is quite similar. The most crucial aspect of the issue lies in understanding the cultural characteristics of the two nations and accurately comprehending how euphemisms should be used in communication with them.
