This article provides an extensive analysis of ball scenes in English literature within their social and cultural context. It explores how balls functioned not merely as entertainment but as a reflection of class structures, gender roles, and cultural norms. Furthermore, a comparative perspective with Uzbek and Russian literature reveals both the similarities and differences of the ball/wedding motif across cultures.
