Technological progress has led to unprecedented changes in the process of translation as a means of interlingual communication. This article discusses the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the process and result of translation. These technologies improve translator productivity and translation quality, facilitate international communication, and demonstrate the growing need for innovative technology solutions to overcome language barriers. However, these tools also create certain problems and uncertainties for the translation profession and the industry as a whole.
