Abstract

This article examines the verbalization of water and fire concepts in the linguistic worldview of the English language, focusing on their metaphorical and symbolic usage. Both water and fire are central to human life and have developed rich semantic fields, often expressing contrasting yet complementary meanings. By exploring how these natural elements are verbalized in English, we uncover the cultural, cognitive, and emotional associations that shape English speakers' understanding of these fundamental concepts.
