Abstract

This topic focuses on the systematic study of the figurative and motivational foundations of comparative phraseological units, uncovering the mechanisms of their creation, identifying figurative elements (metaphors, epithets, formal markers) and types of motivation in this category of phraseological units, and modeling their generative mechanisms. Furthermore, it examines the general patterns of figurative and motivational semantic changes in phraseological units, emphasizing that figurative-motivational bases play a central role in the emergence and acquisition of comparative phraseological units.
