The article discusses the method of stylistic analysis, which is an important means of reforming the teaching of reading and improving the quality of teaching. It also discusses the use of stylistics in teaching English in higher educational institutions in terms of listening, speaking, reading and writing. It can develop learners' ability to appreciate and distinguish languages and improve their logical thinking ability, as well as promotes reading comprehension. The main attention is drawn to the fact that mastery of syntactic analysis of the text contributes to the formation of students' competence.
