Abstract

Russian is part of the Indo-European language family. This language is related to other Slavic languages, such as Polish and Czech. About 150 million people in Russia and the former republics of the USSR speak Russian as their mother tongue. Many Russian-speaking people are learning English, and in turn, many English-speaking people are learning Russian. To somehow facilitate this difficult task, you need to know what the main differences between these languages are. This article provides a comparative analysis of Russian and English.
