Abstract

In the article, current issues of interest of schoolchildren in mass sports, as well as the problem of low physical activity and development of schoolchildren were examined and analyzed. At work the formation of students' interest in physical education and sports in the working environment of secondary schools are recommended. In order to create effective motives for the formation of active interest in physical culture and sports, competitive activities were included in the process of standardization of physical culture lessons. According to the end of the competition, sport categories among teenagers were given to the students on athletics. The article provides detailed information on the results of the survey, the dynamics of the change in the rank of schoolchildren and changes in the rate of membership in sports clubs during the year.
