In this article, the author examined and clarified the essence and influence of outdoor games in the context of the development of volitional qualities of preschool children in preschool educational institutions. The author analyzed the scientific literature and research works of foreign authors. Methods for the formation and development of volitional qualities in preschoolers in the context of the educational process in children's educational institutions are proposed. The influence of the used outdoor games on the child's body and its harmonious development in the process of games as a whole is analyzed, as well as the influence of outdoor games on the formation and development of volitional qualities in preschoolers. In the process of using outdoor games in preschool educational institutions as a means for the formation and development of volitional qualities in children, such qualities as purposefulness, determination, initiative, courage, and independence are formed. It was concluded that outdoor games and physical exercises not only improve the health and develop the child's body, but also are a means for fostering volitional qualities of the child's character.
