This article highlights the legal foundations of social protection, social support for pensioners in the republic, measures taken for further development, providing comprehensive assistance to disabled people, the elderly, improving the system of state pension provision for citizens and eliminating existing problems in this area.

In particular, proposals were put forward on changes in pension coverage over the past 5 years, favorable conditions created for pensioners, the essence of the content of the changes introduced into practice from June 1, 2021, and pension coverage.
