In the article the results of treatment of 54 patients admitted to Surgery Department on emergency basis with acute intestinal obstruction caused by a tumor process were analyzed. All patients were divided into a control group of 26 (48.2%) patients, patients in moderate severity, and the main group of 28 (51.8%) patients, in severe and extremely serious condition. Patients of the main group were treated in two stages: at the first stage, stenting was performed, at second stage, after preparation of the patient, a radical operation was performed. The results of treatment show that in the main group of patients, postoperative complications were 13% lower compared to control group, and mortality in the main group was not observed, while in control group, mortality was in 2 cases.
