The school textbook mother tongue does not pay much attention to the exercises that develop thinking in the educational system. This situation is one of the reasons why today’s students do not acquire enough knowledge about thinking exercises. This article highlights on the methods of performing thought-developing exercises recommended for strengthening topics in the course of teaching parts of speech in the 6th grade mother tongue textbook. Also, it provides tasks to be assigned by the teacher in the process of performing the exercises that develop thinking in the mother tongue classes.
