This article examines the significance and role of civil liability in the context of e-commerce, focusing on the unique features of e-commerce, such as borderlessness, anonymity, and information security, with examples from the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also analyzes the rules and legal instruments that determine the obligations of parties in electronic transactions and the measures of liability for their violation. The author further explores the mechanisms for ensuring civil liability, with particular attention to the protection of consumer rights, guaranteeing the quality and safety of goods and services, and resolving disputes and claims in the field of e-commerce. The article concludes by providing recommendations for further improving civil liability in e-commerce and developing effective mechanisms to protect the rights and interests of e-commerce participants.
