Law enforcement bodies as subjects of prevention and prophylaxis of crime and offenses among youth

The article deals with the issues of prevention of juvenile delinquency as one of the directions of state policy and the most urgent problems of modern society. It is noted that the existing system of subjects for the prevention of juvenile delinquency needs a radical reconstruction and further development, especially in terms of creating a juvenile justice system. Currently, some juvenile technologies are used as part of the current prevention system. The author found that, regardless of the chosen direction of reform, ensuring effective prevention of juvenile delinquency depends, first of all, on the effectiveness of its subjects.

The article also gives a brief description of the activities of individual subjects of prevention. At the same time, the author analyzes the main directions of legislative regulation of preventive activities, including an attempt to assess the validity of legislative regulation of the activities of juvenile delinquency prevention entities and identify the most complex issues that need to be addressed at the legislative level.
