Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed serious problems in the health systems of all countries. The main reason is that no country has previously encountered such a unique infection and has not developed rapid response measures. Between January 2020 and May 2021, WHO estimates that between 80,000 and 180,000 health workers may have died from COVID-19, a tragic loss and a significant blow to the global response to the pandemic. Morbidity and mortality rates among healthcare workers have decreased over time, but the world still has a long way to go in the fight against this disease to reduce the risk of infection in the workplace. This study analyzes the work of medical personnel in a hospital setting using the sanitary observation method.
