Abstract

The entry of the Republic of Uzbekistan into the modern global investment process necessitates the need to ensure compliance of national legislation on foreign investment with international law, taking into account the gradual advent of the digital era. Investor protection systems in traditional finance often fail to prevent internal abuses and ensure fair retail access, unlike some new digital models. Specific recommendations include prioritizing the development of globally interoperable identity, access and cybersecurity protocols tailored for digital investment platforms and assets. In addition, controlled regulatory technology sandboxes can help securely develop and test interconnected surveillance systems that span borders before wider deployment. As a result, the changing digital economy poses challenges associated with unclear boundaries, inconsistent data quality, pricing issues, and inherent risks in much digital activity. The conceptual framework presented in this article aims to highlight potential ways forward through coordinated regulatory modernization, interdisciplinary expertise, and support for the philosophy of financial inclusion as a rising wave of investment digitalization that can collectively raise the international investment profile of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
