In recent decades, pedagogy and foreign language teaching methodology, including Russian, have placed special emphasis on students' language competence. This article examines the key aspects of developing students' language competence in the process of teaching Russian. It analyzes modern methods, including traditional approaches and innovative technologies that are integrated into the educational process. The article presents empirical data demonstrating changes in language competence levels among students at various stages of preparation. Additionally, tables and diagrams are provided to illustrate the dynamics of language competence development within the context of modern educational platforms.
