Legal Foundations of the Relationship between Internal Affairs Bodies and Representative Bodies of State Authority

The article examines the legal foundations for interaction between internal affairs bodies and representative bodies of state power, as well as ways to improve this interaction. It substantiates the necessity of implementing legal reforms aimed at fully realizing popular sovereignty, including expanding the powers of local Councils of People's Deputies in ensuring legality, law and order, and citizens' safety. Additionally, the article puts forward proposals for further improving the draft Law "On Local Representative Bodies" in terms of regulating the relationship between internal affairs bodies and representative bodies of state power.
