This article analyzes the developmental stages and characteristics of the prosecutor's office institution in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study provides a scientific analysis of the evolution of the prosecutor's office, including legal scholars' perspectives on the necessity of its establishment and its placement within various branches of government throughout different stages of the state system. Additionally, the article thoroughly examines the functions of the prosecutor's office institution during its developmental stages. Specifically, it explores the activities carried out by the prosecutor's office within the judicial and executive branches, its goals and objectives, as well as the issue of its accountability.
