Abstract

In this article, the author analyzes Iran's position in the geopolitical competition in Central Asia. Although Iran is attempting to avoid direct competition with major powers in the region, such as Russia and China, there remains a risk of conflicting interests with them. Particularly against the backdrop of China's economic dominance and Russia's political-militaristic stance, Iran is utilizing transit, energy, and diplomatic means to enhance its influence. Collaboration with India serves to strengthen Iran's position in Central Asia in the context of tensions with the West. The article also explores how Iran is striving to achieve a strategic balance in this complex competitive arena.
