Abstract

This article provides a scientific analysis of widespread fungal diseases in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plants - root rot, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and anthracnose. The causative agent, biological characteristics, symptoms manifested in the plant, and diagnostic methods for each disease are described. Recommendations are provided on the use of agrotechnical, chemical, and biological means for disease control, as well as the application of resistant varieties and beneficial microorganisms. Furthermore, a comprehensive analysis is presented based on the clinical signs necessary for diagnosis, microscopic indicators, practical recommendations, and illustrative diagrams and tables. This material is intended for specialists in the fields of plant science and plant protection, agronomists, and plant breeders.
