The article presents an analysis of the results of identifying and treating patients with depression in the conditions of the Samarkand district psychiatric hospital. The total number of patients with depression registered in the hospital was 253 people. Of these, 99 (39,1%) were men and 154 (60,9%) were women. Of the 253 patients with depression, 13 patients (5,1%) had a psychotic type of depression, 55 patients (21,7%) had neurotic depression, 48 patients (19%) had a reactive form of depression, 67 patients (26,5%) had a cyclothymic form of depression (subdepression), and 70 patients (27,7%) had clinical signs associated with endogenous depression. All patients were treated with antidepressants, depending on the type of disease.
