Abstract

This article scientifically analyzes the formation of functional literacy in primary education as a crucial pedagogical issue. It substantiates the need to implement modern educational technologies, develop professional competence, and strengthen reflective approaches in teacher training processes. The article reveals mechanisms for guiding students towards independent thinking and critical analysis through portfolio technology, metacognitive activities, and practice-oriented learning. Innovative approaches, problem-based teaching methods, and clear assessment criteria are recognized as key factors in enhancing educational quality. Furthermore, it outlines ways to effectively implement new pedagogical technologies by modernizing educational content and didactic tools. The article also includes methodological recommendations for developing functional literacy in the professional preparation of primary school teachers.
