Abstract

The subject of this article is the current state of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and France. The topic is revealed through a comparative and quantitative, as well as a systematic analysis of the dynamics of trade between the two countries, joint activities of business structures, trends in the entry of French companies into the real sector of the economy of Uzbekistan.

The study disclosed that the Uzbek-French trade and economic relations did not develop within the framework of the traditional scheme of cooperation “donor and recipient”, or, “investor / sponsor and debtor”, which is typical for partnership between developed and developing countries. Also, despite the relatively low statistical indicators, a relatively stable growth trend in bilateral trade and economic cooperation was found. It was noted that economic cooperation is in the process of determining priority and optimal directions, which is characteristic of the entire Uzbek-French partnership.
