Abstract

The article analyzes the legal and practical significance of introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the process of modernizing the judicial and legal system of New Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the “Digital Court” concept, the legal and administrative foundations for the full transition to electronic court proceedings, the expansion of interactive services, the calculation of court costs with the help of AI, and the creation of a judicial documents archive are examined. Special attention is given to the use of AI in civil cases, particularly in land disputes, recovery of environmental damages, cases related to forest and water resources, and cultural heritage. The article highlights the potential of AI for rapid analysis, evidence processing, remote participation, and inter-agency data exchange to improve the quality of justice. At the same time, it emphasizes the need to preserve the human factor, as well as to strengthen ethical standards, confidentiality, and accountability.
