Some aspects of ensuring constitutional rights for persons with disabilities

This article provides a comprehensive legal analysis of certain theoretical and practical aspects of ensuring the constitutional rights of persons with disabilities. It examines how the general guarantees of human rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan are applied to the legal status of citizens with disabilities, as well as the legal mechanisms for creating equal opportunities for this category of individuals and the practical aspects of state policy in this regard. The article also analyzes international legal documents pertaining to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, including the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and evaluates their harmonization with national legislation. The author puts forward proposals and recommendations aimed at ensuring the full participation of persons with disabilities in socio-economic, educational, labor, transportation, and political spheres of life.
