Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of students' cognitive competence, its psychological and pedagogical content, and its significance in the educational process. Cognitive competence refers to an individual's ability to acquire knowledge, analyze it, think independently, and solve problems. The study examines the formation of cognitive processes, methods for their development, and the role of pedagogical conditions. Additionally, it highlights modern approaches to developing cognitive competence in students and illuminates the psychological challenges encountered in this process.
