In this article, except from providing a general understanding of the phenomenon of synonymy, the authors have given opinions on the theoretical and practical aspects of using synonyms in the text of official documents, their importance, and the usage of synonyms in official documents. French dictionaries of synonyms and official style lexicons were effectively used in the process of the analysis, and the synonyms and word combinations presented for comparative analysis were listed in categories
