The article analyzes the significance of the gender factor in describing a person’s appearance and character in compound words in English and Uzbek languages. Gender-marked compound words that describe a person’s character and appearance in fiction are considered within moral and behavioral frameworks, based on values such as good vs. bad, good vs. evil, and beautiful vs. ugly. The analysis highlights gender-marked compound words that portray a person’s character and appearance, focusing on both positive and negative evaluations.
