Abstract

Corpus pragmatics is an integrated field formed by the convergence of two modern linguistic disciplines: corpus linguistics and pragmatics. Although it is a relatively new area of research, it has already established its theoretical foundations, methodology, and analytical methods. This article is devoted to studying the application of corpus-pragmatic research methods in linguistic analysis. Initially, the theories and methodologies of pragmatics and corpus linguistics are thoroughly examined. Subsequently, the emergence of corpus pragmatics as an intersection of these two fields, its theoretical basis, methodology, application in linguistic research, and outcomes are discussed in detail. Furthermore, achievements in this field within global linguistics and Uzbek linguistics are analyzed. The research results demonstrate that corpus pragmatics serves as an effective tool for understanding practical language use, studying speech acts, discourse markers, and other pragmatic phenomena.
