This article discusses the opinions of Uzbek, Russian, and French scholars regarding naming and classifying types of official business documents in French and Uzbek languages. During the research, it was also found that there are several types of classification of documents. Similar and different aspects of document names in French and Uzbek languages are considered in the article, and lexical units used for naming documents are analyzed semantically. In the end, it was concluded that the conclusions of scientific research on the nomenclature and classification of documents are very important in future scientific research on this topic.
