This article explores the scientific foundations of the concept of “pilgrimage tourism” in linguistics. Pilgrimage tourism is a form of travel that enhances the interaction between language and culture at sites of religious and cultural significance. The study utilized methods such as surveys, interviews, and observations to investigate pilgrims' motivations for language learning, cultural interaction, and interest in regional traditions. The findings indicate that language plays a critical role in shaping cultural identity and communication within pilgrimage tourism. This article highlights the significance of pilgrimage tourism in linguistics and outlines new prospects for future linguistic research.
