Abstract

This article delves into the intricate relationship between language and thought, exploring how language shapes and influences cognitive processes. While the debate over whether language determines thought or thought shapes language has persisted for decades, research increasingly points to a reciprocal relationship in which language and thought are deeply interconnected. The article investigates key domains where language impacts thinking, such as categorization, framing, memory, reasoning, and the influence of culture.
