Abstract

Since the last decades of the past century, metaphor has deeply penetrated all aspects of human life, as can be seen from numerous studies conducted in this field. The development of cognitive science has greatly contributed to the formation of such approaches. This research has also been carried out within this framework, discussing various typologies of metaphor as well as its linguistic and cognitive analysis. The article explores metaphor as a linguistic phenomenon that contributes to the development of human thinking.
