Abstract

This article analyzes the functional and stylistic features of binomial expressions in English and Uzbek in relation to linguistic economy. Binomials reflect the cognitive and communicative capacities of language and serve as effective tools for constructing concise and impactful speech. The study explores how binomial structures contribute to language economy through compact expression, phonetic harmony, stylistic richness, and functional significance. A comparative approach is used to examine the similarities and differences between English and Uzbek binomial expressions.
