Abstract

This article examines gender terms within the linguistic and cultural domain of maternity and their role in shaping perceptions of women and their social roles in contemporary society. It analyzes how language both reflects and constructs the cultural, social, and psychological aspects of motherhood. Special attention is paid to key terms such as “gender,” “motherhood,” “feminism,” and “gender stereotypes,” and to their evolution under the influence of social change and feminist movements. The text emphasizes that motherhood is not a static concept: its perception varies across cultures and historical contexts. Gender-related terminology in the context of motherhood is an important indicator of social change and a tool for rethinking the role of women. The article also highlights the need for further study to deepen understanding of the interaction between language and culture.
