This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of teaching students to work with media texts. It analyzes the linguistic, semiotic, and pragmatic features of media texts as well as their communicative role in educational settings. The paper substantiates pedagogical mechanisms for developing digital literacy, critical thinking, and the ability to interpret multimodal texts within the learning process. Constructivist approaches, competence-based education, and media culture theories serve as the conceptual basis of the study. The article also offers effective methods for enhancing university students’ skills in analyzing and using media texts in academic and professional contexts.References
