Abstract

Study of clinical and laboratory manifestations of cryptococcal meningoencephalitis in 16 patients with HIV infection. Women accounted for 18.8% (3), men - 81.2% (13). The condition of the patients was regarded as severe and extremely severe in 12 (75%) patients. The severity of the condition was due to severe intoxication and cerebral symptoms, convulsions were observed in 6 (37.5%) patients, in 7 (43.7%) - dysfunction of the pelvic organs. Despite ongoing therapy in 12 (75%) patients, the disease ended in death within 1 month.
