Abstract

Among the diseases characterized by significant and stable growth in prevalence among the population, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) occupies one of the leading positions. The social significance of RA is also determined by the increasing level of disability and the high "cost" of the disease [1;4;]. The chances of restoring work capacity and returning to work for patients with RA are very low, and their quality of life is assessed as very poor across all parameters [3;9]. Over time, patients pay more attention to themselves and their emotions. A negative attitude towards the effects of antirheumatic treatments develops, distrust in medical recommendations arises, and a range of neurotic and psychotic disorders forms. This necessitates the inclusion of psychological methods for treatment and rehabilitation of patients in the standards of RA treatment [5;6].
