The article examines the issues of organizing the payment of maternity benefits to women working in the private sector based on state social insurance in Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the existing problems in this area and the established practice. Practical difficulties arising in the payment of benefits to women working under employment contracts with business entities not financed from the state budget are highlighted. Legal and scientific aspects associated with these problems are also discussed. As a result of the research, scientific and theoretical recommendations were proposed for improving the benefit payment system in the future.
