This article analyzes the importance, opportunities, and promising trends of distance learning in the era of rapid development of digital technologies. The possibilities of digitalization processes in the field of education, increasing efficiency through the use of information and communication technologies, and creating individual educational trajectories based on electronic platforms were considered. Also, proposals were put forward to improve its national model by comparing the importance of distance learning in the education system of Uzbekistan and world experience.
