Abstract

This article highlights the importance of functional training exercises in developing explosive strength in young athletes and explains their mechanism of action. Explosive strength is the ability of an athlete to generate maximum force in a short period of time and is a key factor for success in any sport. During youth, the physical and physiological development of the body is very active, making this stage particularly effective for shaping explosive strength through functional exercises. The article analyzes methods for increasing muscle contraction speed using plyometric, jumping, and explosive exercises as examples. It also emphasizes the importance of load intensity, exercise sequencing, and individualized training approaches. The study results demonstrate that functional training exercises are an effective tool for enhancing explosive strength in young athletes.
